George Thomas Gibbany husband of Dorothy (Harris) Gibbany. George Thomas Gibbany son of Guy Gibbany and Ollie (Stephens) Gibbany. George was born in Gentryville, Gentry County, Missouri and died Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

The White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas, October 31, 1996:
George Thomas Gibbany of Jordan, son of the late Guy and Ollie Stephens Gibbany, was born June 30, 1913 in Gentryville, Missouri. He died October 22, 1996 at the Medical Center of Calico Rock. He was 83.
Mr. Gibbany was united in marriage to Dorothy Harris May 4, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He retired from the Air Force in 1968 and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Barbara Meinzer of Jordan and Beverly Marr of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Ora Belle Staggs of Agency, Missouri and Jo Ann Simpson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Gibbany of Arizona; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Graveside services were held Thursday, October 24, 1996 at Trimble Campground Cemetery in Dolph with Brother Alan Meinzer officiating. Pallbearers were Curtis Meinzer, Alan Meinzer, Johnny Steinman, Daniel Marr, Douglas Marr, Kenny Harris and Larry Steinman.
Arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock. The family asks that memorials be sent to Dorothy Gibbany for the purchase of a memorial bench at the Medical Center of Calico Rock.
