*Obituary (as written)
Benton County Democrat

Died Aug 17, 1897 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Hall, Pea Ridge, Ark., Mrs. Martha Ann Bone, aged 87 years. Mrs. Martha Ann Bone (nee McMinn) was born in North Carolina, April 10th, 1810. She moved with her parents when about five years of age to Wilson county, Tenn. When about sixteen years old she professed faith in Christ as her personal Savior and united with the C.P. Church. She was married to Adna Bone in the year 1830. To them were born five children - two sons and three daughters. Three of these had gone before, a son and daughter only remaining. In 1845 she was left a widow. In 1852 she came to Pea Ridge, Ark. where she lived the greater part of the time until her death, Aug. 17. In addition to her own family she raised three grandchildren - a son and two daughters - all of whom she was permitted to see married and in the Christian's hope entering upon the business of life and the duties of religion. Her death fills our whole community with deep regret, realizing that a great and good woman and a valiant soldier of the cross has fallen. P. Carnahan.
