NEOSHO, Mo. -- Arnold J. Nodine, 82, of Neosho died April 28, 2002, at a nursing center in Neosho. He was born May 25, 1919, in Washburn, Mo., to Oliver and Gertie Privett Nodine. He lived in Rogers for 35 years, moving from Wichita, Kan., and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in France, and he enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Margarette Nodine of the home; one daughter, Shirley Bevis of Corinth, Texas; three step children; two sisters, Thelma "Babe" Stephens of Washburn and Velma Baker of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; two grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Ron Fields officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

SENECA, Mo. -- Margarette B. Nodine, age 88, of Seneca, Mo., passed away on Jan. 10, 2011, in Neosho, Mo. She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Garfield, Ark., to the late Melvin Jackson and Lillie Catherine Blansett Broam.

She was united in marriage to Ray Cargile in 1941 until his death in 1952. To this union three children were born, a daughter and two sons. She married Arnold Nodine in 1954 to whom one daughter was born. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Joseph Oswalt will officiate the service.

Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery in Garfield, Ark.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
