Melvin E “Mel” Fry, age 67, of Dover, died at his home. A son of the late Sidney Douglas and Winnie Vera Claycomb Fry, he was born November 19, 1940 in Dewitt, Arkansas.
e was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Roberta Carr and Wilma Owens.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Doris Fry of Star City; and seven nephews and nieces: Twyla Brockman and her husband, Othnile, of Star City; Lynn Carr and his wife, Jo Ann, of Pine Bluff; Michael Carr and Mark Carr, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Gayle Chambers and her husband, Willie, of Wynne; Lance Fry and his wife, Jennifer, of Tucson, Arizona; and Traci Gill and her husband, Gary, of Star City.
