Death Near Newburg
Gabe Chism age 54 years died rather suddenly at his home near Newburg, Wednesday night as a result of a stroke of paralysis, which struck him while he was at work. He died soon after being taken to his home.
Burial took place at the Flat Rock cemetery Thursday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. M. B. Nichols of this place.
Deceased is survived by four sons.
(Note the difference in the date of the obituary and the inscription on the gravestone. The Arkansas Death Index shows that he died February 20, 1924.)
