BELLA VISTA — Joella Butrymoicz, 70, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, peacefully in her sleep, at her residence. She was born March 7, 1940, in Bentonville, to Alvin Daniel Watson and Willa Marie Crow Watson.

She was a graduate of the Bentonville High School, Great Class of 1958, and attended Draughn School of Business in Tulsa, Okla., until meeting and marrying her one true love, Adolph.

She was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. She enjoyed going to watch the Razorbacks, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Naturals. Even after her stroke in October of 2009, it never slowed her down.

Joella also loved to create crafts and enter into local craft fairs, especially her pillow dolls and was considered a "walking dictionary." She was loved by so many, but even her 5-foot stature deserved respect or you had to beware of the World Famous Flying Pinch — and man, did it hurt.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but especially, times spent in the pool with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph John Butrymoicz, on Jan. 5, 2010; an infant daughter, Mary; and her parents.

Joella is survived by two sons, Douglas Butrymoicz and wife Jaime of Bentonville, Martin Butrymoicz of Bella Vista; one daughter, Shelly Butrymoicz of Bentonville; two grandchildren, Jolene Smith and husband Matt of Centerton, Ben Bay of Bentonville; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Noah Smith, Mariah Smith, Isaiah Smith, all of Centerton; one sister, Sybil Priddy of Little Rock, Ark.; niece, Sunni Throgmorton of Little Rock, Ark.; her aunt and uncle, Eloise and Harvey Brown of Tulsa; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm, Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Stockdale Funeral Chapel with Monsignor Scott Marczuk officiating.

Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Rogers.

Memorials may be made in honor of Joella Butrymoicz, a loyal Swatters Club member, to the Razorback Foundation, 1295 S. Razorback Road, Suite A, Fayetteville, AR 72701, in support of Razorback baseball.

Arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral.
