Death Calls Another Old Citizen
“Uncle John” Owens, aged 81 years, a pioneer citizen of near Rodney, died Mon., May 23.
He was born in Kentucky and came to this country before he was grown. He was highly respected by everyone, and was a useful citizen. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Burial took place at Wayland Arbor Tuesday, funeral services being conducted by Rev. D. A. Hively of this place.
Deceased is survived by his widow, seven sons and two daughters.
