WYNNE -- Terry Ashford, 53, of Wynne, formerly of Memphis, died Saturday, April 19, at his residence.
Born in Memphis, he attended Overton High School and was a staff sergeant and flight engineer in the Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1999 after 26 years of service as a quality assurance representative for the Defense Logistics Agency of the Department of Defense.
Survivors include his wife, Janette Ashford of Wynne; a son, Travis Ashford of Okinawa, Japan; a stepson, Chris Yarbrough of Wynne; his parents, Travis and Myrt Ashford of Olive Branch, Miss.; and two sisters, Barbara Hanks of Olive Branch and Linda Leslie of Tupelo, Miss.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne, with the Rev. Ray Dean Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Cogbill Cemetery at Wynne.
Pallbearers will be Oliver Andrews, Mike Argo, Bob Dorr, Robbie Godfrey, Ed Lossing, Rodney Meadows and Richard Sanders.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Cancer Research Center in Little Rock.
