Direct descendant of General Nataniel Greene of Revolutionary War fame. In 1860 represented Christian co Mo in State Legislature, served two terms. In 1861 organized Co. F Fourth Reg. Mo Vol.,Confederate States Army. He became the commander, Capt, serving two years before becoming a POW. He came to Canehill Ar and was elected to the Lower House . He was also a county and probate judge for Washington Co. Member of Missionary Baptist Church since 1854. A charter member and active worker in the Grange Movement at Canehill.
