When Franklin Marion Burris was born on July 9, 1827, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, his father, William, was 42 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 45. He married Charlotte Osburn and they had nine children together. He then married Martha Jobe Ennis and they had eight children together. He died on November 10, 1902, in Pope, Arkansas, having lived a long life of 75 years.
