FAYETTEVILLE — James Robert Folsom, 54, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 14, 1955 in the Panama Canal Zone, the son of James Rayford and Veva Sasse Folsom.
He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas, and taught 5th grade in Farmington Schools for twenty years. He received numerous recognitions for teaching including two teacher of the year awards and having Bob Folsom Elementary School named in his honor in 2008. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Folsom and a sister, Mary Stalvey.
He is survived by his wife, Joey Folsom; one son, Rusty Folsom of Fayetteville; three daughters, Amber Walker of Fayetteville, Nell Sisco and husband Steve of Fayetteville and Tabitha Christensen and husband Leathan of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; Mother, Veva Folsom of the home; One sister: Faye Morris of Forest Park, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Drew Blackburn, Lexi Walker, Maris Sisco, Mattox Sisco.
