Walter William Moody
101 years old, born in Kahoka, Arkansas; member of First Baptist Church in Mountain View for 60 years, a husband, father grandfather, great-grandfather; worked as a mechanic.
Survived by wife of 66 years, Avanell Dobbins Moody; three daughters, Alice Sheffler and husband Jerry of Flower Mountain, Texas, Kay Decker of Cabot and Jane White and husband Lloyd of Piedmont, Okla.; one grandson, Chris Decker; five granddaughters, Cindy Richards, Sandra Roberts, Susan Sparkman, Melinda Miller and Tracey White and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Mary Frances (Nolner) Moody; four brothers, Herman, Kermit, Elmer and Wyatt Moody; one sister, Zada Brown; and son–in-law, Charles Decker.
Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Brown presenting the sermon and Pastor Paul Lancaster presenting the obituary.
Pallbearers are Chris Decker, Erik Richardson, Steve Roberts, Rick Hodges, Justin Hodges, Dwight Moody, Larry Moody, David Brown and Steven Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Rick Johns, Jimmy Mitchell, Kenneth Sutton, Ronnie Risner, Tom Isbell, Ulis Woody, Herbert Poff, Von Dean Jeffery, Fred Ward, Dean Teague and Joe Wyatt.
