Died September 29, 1936, Violet Hill, Izard County, Arkansas.
Son of Stephen Miles Box & Elizabeth Ann Kirk Box.
Married Ida Emily Oakley, 1889, Arkansas.
Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, October 2, 1936:
Larkin Box, aged 75, died at his home at Violet Hill late Tuesday afternoon after an illness of some three months. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Misses Mattie and Otta Box and Mrs. Clive Hames and four sons, Sam, Jerry, John and Inman Box. All children live at Violet Hill. Mr. Box has lived at Violet Hill 38 years and was one of the county's best citizens. Burial was at the Violet Hill Cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
