Mrs. Eula V. Martin, 65, of Hamburg died Tuesday, January 26, 1999, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. A native of Chicot County, a Hamburg resident for 34 years and a former resident of Phoenix, AZ, she was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Don Martin, in 1958; a daughter, Penny Louise Martin, in 1966; her parents, Frank and Myrtle Allen Tanksley; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her husband, Charles J. Martin of Hamburg; three sons, Thomas Martin and Mike Martin of Hamburg and Charles Martin of Parkdale; two daughters, Diane Thomas of Hamburg and Myrtle Carter of Crossett; two brothers, Clyde and Frankie Tanksley of Crossett; two sisters, Gladys Ricks of Bastrop, LA, and Maudie Jackson of Montrose; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, January 29, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Hamburg with Revs. Robin Allen and E. W. Ricks officiating. Pallbearers were Donnie, Billy Clyde, Philip and Buddy Tanksley, Donald Pack, Marvin Ricks and Cecil and Elbert Ray Cossey. Burial followed services at the Bell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bell Cemetery Fund, c/o Jack McManus, P. O. Box 114, Parkdale, AR 71661.
