William K. Pugh was the only son of William K and Elizabeth D. Hutcheson Pugh. His father was deceased by the 1850 census when William K. was only a year old, and his widowed mother and three of his sisters were in the household of her father, Richard C. Hutcheson (sp Hutchison on census record) for the 1860 census. William K. was listed as 12 years old on that census.
William K. Pugh married Anzoleth Kansas (Dink)Russell, buried in the Hand Cemetery also in Baxter County, daughter of John Russell. William was a well known Methodist Minister on the Arkansas Circuit.
He died of consumption. He and his wife did have a son, Richard Pugh b. 31 Dec 1873 d. 10 Dec 1955.
It is not known where his father is buried, but a memorial has been placed for him with the the Hutcheson Cemetery located on his grandfather's property, though there are only three headstones and one cairn (where his grandmother is known to be buried and perhaps his grandfather) visible there by 2010. His mother, Elizabeth died at age 94 and is buried in Yellville (Layton)Cemetery in Marion County.
His son Richard Melvin Pugh is buried in the Willow Point Cemetery in Bridgeport, TX Memorial# 44444803
