CANNON, Wm. - Wm. Cannon, familiarly known as "Uncle Billie," died Wednesday morning at Joplin, Mo. The remains were brought to Springdale yesterday and funeral services were held at 3 p.m. at the residence of G.W. Kennan, conducted by Eld. A.E. Field of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The remains were interred in Bluff cemetery. The deceased was born June 1, 1824. He had been a resident of Springdale for a number of years and was a respected citizen. Something over a year ago his wife died, since which he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. G.W. Kennan, at this place and with other children at Joplin, Mo. He leaves six children, two daughters and four sons. His death was due to bowel trouble and he had been ill but a short time.
