Son of George A. Herron Sr. & Evelyn Wood Herron.
Married Angela Lee "Angie" Schroeder, December 26, 1992, Waimanalo, Honolulu County, Hawaii.

OLYMPIA, Wash. Charles William Herron, 44, of Olympia, Wash., formerly of Izard County, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, in Olympia.

Born April 9, 1961, in Weatherford, Texas, he was the son of George A. Herron Sr. and Evelyn Wood Herron. He was united in marriage to Angie Schroeder in Waimanalo, Hawaii, on Dec. 26, 1992. He retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class after 20 years of service. He had been a field engineer for General Dynamics since 2004. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Hoyt Herron of Hot Springs and Zeth Herron of Olympia; a daughter, Nikki Upchurch of Douglas, Ariz.; his parents of Mountain Home; two brothers, George Herron Jr. of Jordan and Wade Herron of Mountain Home; a sister, Marte Herron of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Kai Herron, Khloe Upchurch and Kenley Upchurch; and his grandmothers, Lucille Pair of Weatherford, Texas, and Lillie Smith of Shafter, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Herron and Bill Wood; and an uncle, Tommy Herron.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Loye Vern Mason officiating. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers will be Scott Watts, Grant Bissey, Sheldon Schroeder, Wayne Billingsley, Hoyt Herron and Alan Estes.

Honorary pallbearers are Chad Upchurch, Gary Herron, Darren Smith, Mike Mahurin and Matt Mowatt.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.

Memorials may be made to Violet Hill Cemetery.
