A graveside service for Willie Parnell of Norfork will be at 11AM today at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork with Bro. Don Pfalser officiating. Mr. Parnell died Friday (May 25, 2001) at his residence. He was 84.
He was born April 19, 1917, in Norfork to the late Chrlie M. and Lottie Reed Parnell. He married Mauvourneen Daniel on May 18, 1940, at Norfork. Mr. Parnell was retired. During his working years, he was a farmer and worked on the Henderson Ferry. He was a lifetime native of Norfork. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Mauvourneen Parnell of the home; a daughter-in-law, Kay Gragg of Norfork; sisters, Elsie Watley of Norfork and Grace Waire of Calico Rock; grandchildren, Tony Parnell and wife, Barbara, of Norfork and Misty Dockins and husband, Robert, of Conway; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Asheley Parnell and Preston Dockins; and several nieces and nepehws. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Harold Parnell; a brother; a sister and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10AM until service time at Old Galatia Chruch.
Pallbearers will be Todd Bradbury, Bill Bradbury, Eugene Waire, Randy Waire, Rodney McGowen and Jack Hughes. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Sheid, Richard Sheid, Thurlo Sisk, Brian Dickerson, Robert Southard, Charlie Pinkston and James Sisk.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
