Mr. and Mrs Utt moved to this county about four years ago when he retired from the Navy after 25 years service. Mr. Utt applied for a return to active duty in June but was denied.
There are four children in the family, two daughters, Arial 16 and Jerry 13; and two sons, Ernie 9 and Johnny 6.
Funeral services were held yeaterday afternoon at the Galatia cemetery with the Rev. Clarence Wilcox officiating. Military rites at the graveside were conducted by members of the American Legion and VFW posts here.
