Funeral services for Willam Franklin Acklin, who died Friday at his home in the Shady Grove community, were held Sunday afternoon in Galatia Church, with the Rev. W.P. Hutson officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery with Roller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Acklin was born May 27, 1881 in IL and had been a resident of Baxter County for the past 40 years. He is survived by his wife; four daughter, Mrs. Ava Greer of Norfork, Mrs Hobson Wynn, Mrs. Ed Harris, and Mrs Alfred Lawson all of Mountain Home; a son, Noble Acklin of Gassville, and a foster son Joe Bill Trivitt of Mountain Home; three brothers, Arthur and Ira, both of Buford, and Fred of West Plains; 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
