BORN OCT 19 1849-DIED APRIL 25 1943
He was a graduate of Maryville Normal College in Tennessee. He came to Arkansas about 1881 and became an educator. Ish served as principal of three Little Rock schools from 1887-1906 and principal of the Negro High School at 9th and Hickory Street in the Argenta (North Little Rock) area in 1913. He also was principal at the University at Pine Bluff from 1915-1921.
