Funeral services for William Grover Stewart, 60, who died Saturday at Odessa, MO, were held Monday afternoon at the Burnt School House with the Rev Mauldin officiating. Burial was in the Burnt School Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Service.
Mr. Stewart was killed when a gun he was carrying was accidentally discharged. He was hunting with his granson near his home in Odessa at the time of the accident.
Mr. Stewart was born near Advance in Baxter County April 16, 1888. He was married to Ona Coplen in 1923 and spent most of his life in this county, moving to Odessa about a year ago. He was a minister of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William P. Stewart of Odessa; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lee DeMoss of Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Alice Shelor of Odessa and Mrs. Naomi Carter of Leachville; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Holloman of Advance; and two brothers, H.T. Stewart of Casper, Wyoming and George Holloman of Advance.
