Obituary
Samuel Edward Mead, 66, a retired farmer of Norfork (Star Route), died Saturday at his residence in the Advance community, south of White River. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a lifetime resident of Baxter County.
Funeral services were conducted at 2PM Monday at the Burnt Schoolhouse, near Advance, with Bro. Jimmie Howard of Dora, MO, officiating. Interment was in the Burnt Schoolhouse cemetery, under the direction the the McClure Service.
Pallbearers wer Oscar Chapman, Everett Beavers, Russell Rasor, Creed McFall, R.L. Henderson and Jess Lance.
Mr. Mead, the son of Andrew and Maranda Hulsey Mead, was born at Advance on Jan 27, 1900.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Mead, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy White and Mrs. Artha Acklin of Norfork; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
