EDWARDS, Mack - {from Highfill} Mack Edwards, a much respected citizen of this place, died at his home Dec. 3, 1919 after an illness of three or four years with rheumatism, with which he suffered greatly. The Odd Fellows and Masons assisted in caring for him and all that loving hands could do was done for him but the Master saw fit to call him from among us; and truly a good man has gone. He was much liked by all who knew him. Funeral sermon was preached by Rev. John Scroggins and the interment was made in the Douglas cemetery. The Masons and I.O.O.F. lodges had charge at the grave.
