Dr. Merl Thacker Crow, 71, of Warren, died Tuesday at Bradley County Memorial Hospital here. A retired surgeon, he was former chief of staff at Bradley County Memorial Hospital. He was Past president of the Bradley County Medical Society, a member of the board of directors of First State Bank of Warren and a former Warren City Council member. He served in the armed forces during World War II. He was a Presbyterian. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1937, served his internship and residency at Shreveport Charity Hospital and practiced medicine in Warren for 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sue Martin Crow; two sons; two daughers; a sister and eight grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at First Presbyterian Church at Warren by Reverend David Shepperson. A private burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Warren by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to the organ fund of First Presbyterian Church.
