McINTOSH, Mary E. – Mrs. Mary E. McIntosh, wife of D. McIntosh, died Sunday night about midnight, the result of hemorrhage of the brain. She was stricken Wednesday afternoon at 6:30 and never rallied, being unconscious till her death. She was stricken with paralysis a year ago last March in Iowa before the family came here, and this was probably a recurrence of the old attack. Funeral services were held at residence Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.R. Nelson, pastor of the M.E. Church. Mrs. McIntosh was a member of the Presbyterian church but Rev. J.E. Wylie, pastor of the church, is attending the general assembly in Little Rock and was unable to be present. The remains were interred in Bluff cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh, together with their daughter, Mrs. L.W. Stump and husband, came to this place a few months ago from Shenandoah, Iowa. Although they have not been here long enough to form a very extensive acquaintainship, they have nevertheless impressed all who have met them as being high-toned christian people. The sympathies of the community go out to the family in their sad affliction. Mrs. McIntosh was a little over 60 years of age. Besides a husband and daughter she leaves a sister, Mrs. A.J. Ayers, of Nevada, MO., who arrived Tuesday night. There is another sister in Iowa, and one in South Dakota, and a brother in Illionis.
