J.E. WIGHT FUNERAL HELD AT LITTLE FLOCK CHURCH

Funeral services for John Elias Wight, aged 62, well known farmer and lifelong resident of near Bentonville, who died at this home near the municipal water supply station three miles northeast of town, Friday afternoon, were held Saturday afternoon at the Little Flock Baptist Church, four miles east of Bentonville, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. O.E. Coons. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Callison-McKinney Funeral Home of Bentonville. Burial was in the Little Flock cemetery.

Mr. Wight died on the same farm where he was born on Sept. 24th, 1873. He was the son of James (Uncle Jimmie) and Sallie Graham Wight, a well remembered Northwest Arkansas pioneer couple.

Besides his wife, Mr. Wight is survived by one son, Troy Wight of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Campbell and Mrs. Charlie McCurdy, both of the Valley View community, near Bentonville; and a number of grandchildren.

Cora Belle Wight, 96, of Bentonville died Tuesday at a local nursing home.

She was born August 22, 1881 in Missouri and had lived in Bentonville most of her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Troy Wight of Bentonville; a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Cooper of Bentonville; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Callison-McKinney Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville with Rev. Wesley Keith and O. E. Coones officiating. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery.
