WIGHT, James Alonzo - Death has again entered our neighborhood and called for its victim this time, James Alonzo Wight, the youngest son of the late Jimmie Wight. Lonnie, {as he was best known} was born October 2, 1881 on the farm where he died March 17, 1920, having spent his entire life on the same place. He was married to Miss Mamie Lee Henry August 24, 1918 and to them was born a son, Harley, who died about five months ago. Lonnie was certainly an exemplary young man, always doing good and having a kind smile for everyone. He was loved by all who knew him. Tho not a member of any church he certainly lived a Christian life and set many good examples, which will be long remembered by all who knew him. Besides his wife he leaves two brothers and two sisters and a host of friends to mourn his departure. The funeral was preached by Johnnie Garrett and he was laid to rest in Little Flock cemetery Thursday, March 18th, to await the resurrection. One who knew him.
