PEA RIDGE — Ralph Wesley Ward, 69, of Pea Ridge died Sept. 1, 2005, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He was born Oct. 29, 1935, in Konawa, Okla., to William Ralph and Agnes Morene Hankins Ward. He married Ruth Clark on Sept. 11, 1959, in El Sobrante, Calif. A minister active in the Southern Baptist Convention, Ward served in California at Redlands, Alameda and Orange and in Vamoosa, Okla. He worked for many years as a manager for General Electric in California.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Dale Ward of Rogers; Bruce Ward of Bentonville; a daughter Marina Buttry of Pea Ridge; his mother Agnes Mocabee of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Delores Meade of Glendale, Calif., Joyce Ward of Bentonville; a stepbrother, George Mocabee of Lavern, Calif.; two grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Mitch Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Injured Man Dies After Accident
ROGERS — A Pea Ridge man died Thursday from injuries stemming from an Aug. 19 vehicle accident.
Ralph W. Ward, 69, of 142 Petton St. in Pea Ridge was Westbound on Arkansas 72 at It'll Do Road when he negotiated a curve, lost control of his 1995 Toyota, struck a power pole and overturned, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Ward was transported to Cox Hospital South in Springfield, Mo., and died Thursday night. He was the only person injured in the accident. The man's exact injuries are unknown.
Ward was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred, the report said.
