Charles E 'Gene' Laffoon, 79, of Hector, Arkansas, died Friday March 7, 2003 at St Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Arkansas.The son of George and Norma Johnson Laffoon, he was born February 28, 1924 in Dover, Arkansas. He married Helen WisdomDecember 20, 1946 at Russellville, Arkansas.
Mr Laffoon was a United States Army Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retired accountant with Kraft Foods. He was a member of Dover First Baptist Church, the VFW, and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eulas Laffoon and Bill Laffoon and nephews Daniel Laffoon and Keith Laffoon.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Laffoon, Hector; brother, Ray Laffoon, Lemon Grove, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Mr Laffoon's Nephews will be pallbearers
