MARIANNA - Brooks W. Jones, 82, farmer, died of cancer Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery. Roller-Citizens funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Marianna First United Methodist Church. Mr. Jones, the husband of Marion 'Sugar' Jones, also leaves a son, Bobby Jones of Collierville, Tenn.
Marion ''Sugar'' Jones, 93, of Collierville, Tennessee passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. She was born Tuesday, July 17, 1923 in Marianna, Arkansas to John Robert Smith and Nettie Pearl Womble Smith.
Sugar is survived by one son, Bobby Jones (Mary), of Collierville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Angela Goode (Steve), Angie Curtis, Bert Jones (Leja), seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and two special friends, A.J. and Jackie Dunham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brooks Jones, four sisters, Virginia, Hershell, Iona, Louise; five brothers, Russel, Henry, Ray, Roland, and Wayne.
Graveside services for Mrs. Jones will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas.
