Daughter of William L and Bertha Armstrong
*Obituary
The Benton County Democrat
Thursday, July 9, 1936
Amanda Armelia Armstrong passed away June 27, 1936, in the Fayetteville City Hospital after a week's illness, and having been operated on for appendicitis. She was born July 14, 1923. Departed this life at the age of 12 years, 11 months, and 13 days. She attended school at Vaughn during her school days except one year and a half which were spent at Gentry school. Her pleasing personality made her many friends wherever she went and she was loved by all. Six girls of her Sunday School class of the Mason Valley church were pallbearers. She was a member of the Mason Valley Baptist Church, having joined that church through faith in September 1933, where she was a faithful member, taking her share of the church activities during that time. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Armstrong; one sister, Maxine; four brothers, Billy, Eugene, Tommy and Robert, having had three sisters preceding her in death.
