Salvatore L. Alongis, age 81, a resident of Chattahoochee FL and Norfork AR, passed away on September 17, 2010 in Tallahassee FL. He is survived by his four children: Virginia (JC), Lewis, Carol (Rod), and Steve (Deb); one brother, Vincent; and three sisters: Frances, Virginia, and Rosie; and six grandchildren: Donald (Carrie), Stephanie, Nicole, Mariah, Mikaela, and Amy (Wayne); and one great-grandchild, Jacob. He is also survived by a “brother” in his heart, Paul (Betty), and a special sister-in-law, Carol.
Mr. Sam, as he was affectionately known, was an electrician by trade. He served in the US Army and eventually retired from the Alabama Air National Guard.
He enjoyed traveling and loved his extended family.
He will be laid to rest in Norfork AR next to his loving wife, Nancy J. Hurst.

Funeral arrangements are through Lanier and Andler in Chattahoochee FL and Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, AR.
