Cecial: Cecil Elihu Watson, 74, of Pochontas, died Wednesday, Aug 13, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 18, 1923 in Chismville, a son of the late Edward Lee and Fannie (Green) Watson. He was owner/operator of a taxi service and a veteran of the World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Birdie Marie Lucas Watson of Pocahontas; a son, Jimmy Watson of Maynard, five daughters, Cecilia Ballard, Joyce Baltz, and Betty Stockwell, all of Pocahontas; Caorlyn Frankenberger of Mountain Home, and Eunice Thiele of Rogers; 15 grandchildrens and two great-grand children.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Recs C.C. and Glenn Chadwick officiating.

Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery under the direction of McNabb's. Pallbears were grandsons, Michael, Bryan and Stevie Watson, Josh Stockwell, Adam Frankenberger and Shane Ballard. Honorary pallbears were Tim Reed and Chris Tyler.

Birdie: Birdie Marie Watson, 81, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Randolph Home.

Born Dec. 20, 1928.

She was preceded in death by her father, Birdie Lucas; mother, Inez Mann; stepfather, Joe Mann; husband, Cecil Watson; and brother, Neil Lucas.

She was married to Cecil Watson in Hagerman, N.M., on June 2, 1944.

Survivors include a son, Jim and wife Mary Watson of Maynard; five daughters, Joyce and husband Martin Baltz of Pocahontas, Eunice Thiele and husband Jerome of Rogers, Betty Stockwell and husband Tommy of Pocahontas, Carolyn Frankenberger and husband David of California, and Cecilia Henson and husband Frank of Pocahontas; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Rex Mann of Texas; and three sisters, Sherry Kent, Ina Jo and Rita McCaslin, all of New Mexico.

Services were held in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Terry Miller officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
