BENTONVILLE (Special) - Charles Zelner Newgent, a veteran of World War II, died in a Little Rock hospital Friday morning following an extended illness. He had been a resident of Bentonville since 1932 and served for four years in the European theater during the war. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors are the father, M. M. Newgent of Bentonvlle; two sisters, Mrs. Norvella Sewell of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Dorothy Corntassel of Westville; three brothers, Holland of Bentonville, Talbert of Montana and James of Kansas City, Kan.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Centerton Methodist Church by the Rev. Felix Holland. Burial will be in Centerton cemetery.
