Richard Hornsby, 69 years old, died at his home near Bentonville on Tuesday, March 20th. He had been for several years in charge of the pumping station of the Bentonville municipal water plant. He was born in Paris, Tenn. but came to Benton County more than 40 years ago. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Hugh Hornsby and Ernest Hornsby of Bentonville; and three daughters, Miss Inez Hornsby and Mrs. Eva McCurdy of Bentonville and Mrs. Marie Todd of Hiwasse. Funeral services were held at the New Home church by Rev. O.A. Fortune, pastor of the Bentonville Methodist Episcopal Church, and burial was made in the New Home cemetery.
