Owen McLeslie Gillihan, age 83, of Rushing, AR, died January 25, 1975, in a Mtn. View, AR hospital. He was born May 2, 1891. He was the son of William R. and Ava Thompson Gillihan. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He spent most of his life in Izard County. Survivors include his wife, Myra Gillihan of Rushing; six sons, Willard Gillihan of CA, Eulon Gillihan of Mtn. View, Dallas Gillihan of CA, Ervin and Ray Gillihan of WA; two daughters, Hazel Thompson of Rushing, and Maxine Vines of Eudora, KA; 33 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Dora Hendrixson of OK. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie Gulley Gillihan.Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 27 at Howard Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Bro. Ralph Wallace officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery by Howards.Pallbearers were; Shelby Gillihan, Boyce Gillihan, Junior Gillihan, George Gillihan, Kenneth Gillihan and Jeff Gillihan.
