Memorial services for Claud V. Cash, 69, of Jonesboro, who died Monday, March 8, in Little Rock, have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday in Emerson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Dr. Bruce Tippit, Dr. Tad Rogers and Phillip Jones will officiate. Private burial services have been planned.

Active pallbearers include Mike Linton, Mike Cash, Keith White, Kevin White, John Stuckey, Tim Henson, Todd Mulloy, Mark Massey, Matt Moon and Jason Gould.

Honorary pallbearers will include Tullos Mead, Dr. Irwin Gould, Henry Foster, Louis Widner, Bob Pittman, Bobby Wood, members of the board of directors of Liberty Bank, members of the Men's Fellowship Sunday school class of First Baptist Church and members of University Heights Lions Club.

Born in Trumann, he moved to Jonesboro five years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church, University Heights Lions Club and Trumann Masonic Lodge No. 693 and was a past president of the Trumann Lions Club.

He also had served on the board of Liberty Bank and the St. Bernard's Foundation board and was a past president of MidSouth Farm Equipment Dealers Association and a member of the Case International Harvester National Dealers Advisory Board.

Cash earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Arkansas State University and was honored as a distinguished alumnus of the College of Business.

He served two terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives, where he was the first freshman representative to be elected to the Joint Budget Committee, and also served a term in the Arkansas Senate.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Cash of the home; one son, Greg Cash of Pocahontas; one daughter, Jennifer Linton of Lonoke; one sister, Carol White of Trumann; and five grandchildren, Morgan Linton, Parker Linton, Conner Linton, Reid Cash and Avery Cash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lucille Cash, and by two brothers.

Memorials may be made to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Multiple Myeloma Cancer Research program, 4301 West Markham St., Slot 776, Little Rock 72205-7199 or a church of the donor's choice.
