We miss thee from our home dear father,
We miss thee from this place.
A shadow o'er our life is cast,
we miss the sunshine of thy face.
We miss thy kind and willing hand,
Thy fond and earnest care.

PLUCK, J.L. - Thursday morning at 5:15 o'clock Mr. J.L. Pluck, after a long illness, passed to the fair beyond to join his dear wife who outstripped him only a few days. Mr. Pluck lived to the ripe old age of 78 years and his wife to the age of 84 years. The Journal-Advance extends sympathy to the mourning ones left behind. - Gentry Journal-Advance - Uncle Joe Pluck and his wife were for years citizens of this place and have many friends here whose hearts are sad to read the announcement of their death. Uncle Joe conducted a furniture store here for a number of years and his business transactions with his fellowman made friends with all. He was a good citizen and his wife was a good woman. The Democrat joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
