Dr. Arline Virginia Mouzer, 73, of Rogers passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006, at a Springdale hospital. She was born July 9, 1931, in Weymouth, Mass., to Joseph F. and Sadie L. (Clattenburg) Mouzer. She was a retired veterinarian and master woodcarver. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a D.V.M. degree. She did her internship work there before starting her own practice in Urbana, Ill. After retiring to Rogers in 1984, she took up the art of woodcarving. She has received many blue ribbons, Best of Show and People Cloice awards all over the United States for her craft. Arline was a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. She attended the Noon Lions Club of Rogers and worshipped at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Fannie Neva; and two brothers, Chester Mouzer of Massachusetts, and Joseph Mouzer who is still missing in Korea,

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Joanne Hazlett, Jeanne Ridout, Kenny Mouzer and Chester Mouzer, all of Massachusetts. Also surviving is a niece, Sheila Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla. She also has numerous grandnieces and grandnephews that survive her; two special friends, Alma Belesky ard Ethel Wagner, both of Rogers, are also left to mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends at a visitation for Arline from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evening, June 19, in the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will follow in the Rogers Cemetery. The family would like donations be made in memory of Arline to the Noon Lions Club of Rogers and St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Services are under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
