Obituary
William Calvin Day, aged 77, died of a heart attack at his home on Washington Avenue at 10 o'clock last night.

Mr. Day, employed in a feed store operated by his son, Clarence Day, for the past decade or longer, was at work yesterday. He returned home in the late afternoon.

A native of Fort Payne, Ala., Mr. Day had lived in Arkansas since childhood, spending most of his life in Conway. The son of John Day and Margaret Leigh, he is survived by his wife, the former Ida Burks, to whom he was married June 06, 1931. His first wife died about 20 years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Other suvivors include three other sons, Vernon of San Antonio, Tex., Truett of Los Angeles, Calif., and Raymond Day of Conway; three daughters, Mrs. S.U. Butts of Coweta, Okla., Mrs. W.H. Halbert of Little Rock, and Mrs. J.N. Morgan of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Walter of Vilonia and Ed Day of Conway; a sister, Mrs. Della Hallum of Greenbrier; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Othar Smith and Rev. T.W. Hayes in the chapel of Pence Funeral Home at 2 p.m. tomorrow, with burial in Macedonia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Porter Tipton, Bill Mason, Leslie Crafton, Jr., Jimmie Edwards, Elmer Paul Graddy, and Harold Womack.
