*Obituary
The Baxter Bulletin
September 23, 1932

Maxine, 4-year-old daughter of Ott Rasor and wife of Advance, died Tuesday night after a short illness with throat trouble. Burial was in the Burnt School House Cemetery.
(Note: The story in the September 23, 1932, issue of the 'The Baxter Bulletin' about the death of Maxine Rasor apparently contained several errors, and it is doubtful that there was a burial in the Burnt School House Cemetery that corresponded with the newspaper story. There is not a marked grave for Maxine Rasor in the Burnt School House Cemetery. There is a marked grave for Maxine Flanagan in the Fairview Cemetery. The grave is one space north of the marked grave of Mae Flanagan Rasor and two spaces north of the marked grave of Ott Rasor. The inscribed death date on the tombstone for Maxine Flanagan matches the death reported in the newspaper for Maxine Rasor. It is obvious that the story was about the step daughter of Ott Rasor, not his daughter. The inscribed birth dated also indicates that Maxine Flanagan was almost six years old at the time of her death, not four years old as reported in the newspaper. The Arkansas Death Record Index shows that Clemme M. Flanagan died September 20, 1932, in Baxter County.)
