Services for 58-year-old Richard DeAtley of Salesville will be at 2PM Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Kapler officiating. Mr. DeAtley died Tuesday (Oct 24, 2000) at his residence.
He was born March 10, 1942, at Morris, IL to Donald and Dorothy Nelson DeAtley. He married Judith 'Judy' Nelson on April 9, 1961, at Newark, IL. He lived in Salesville for 25 years, moving from Morris. he ws self-employed in construction. Mr. DeAtley was a membe of the Nationl Wild Turkey Federation, National rifle Association and AVATE motorcycle Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and his children. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judith 'Judy' DeAtley of the home; three sons, Andy DeAtley of Michigan, Irvin DeAtley and fiancee, Christian Buckner of Oklahoma City and Joseph DeAtlery nad wife, Debbie of Midway; one daughter, Jennifer McDole and husband, David, of Mt. Home; a sister Penny Delweski and husband, Brian, of Sinking Springs, PA; and five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ben and Jacob DeAtley and Luke and Levi McDole. Mr. DeAtley was preceded in death by his parents.
visitation will be from noon-9PM today with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM.
Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Irvin DeAtley, Joseph DeAtley, Andy DeAtley, David McDole, Eddine Innes, Frankie Cox and Mike Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Osborne, Dick Welch, Joe Sanders, Bob Harrison, William Storng and Robert Corrielle.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
