COUCH, Edmon - (from Lowell) This community was surprised and grieved Saturday when it was learned Edmon Couch had died Friday night. Though he had been ill for several weeks it was not thought his condition was serious. Mr. Couch came to Lowell several years ago from Madison county and had proven himself a good Christian man, a good neighbor and a friend to all. Besides his widow he leaves two sons and four daughters, several grandchildren, one sister and three brothers, and a host of friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Lowell Baptist church conducted by Rev. Paul Brinkley of Rogers. Burial was in the Goad Springs cemetery west of town.
