McANDREW, Joseph - Monday afternoon the spirit of Joseph McAndrew, the father of Sheriff J.G. McAndrew, was called to a higher home. He was nearly ninety-one years old and though he had been a man of great physical strength, had been in feeble health for some time and his death was not altogether unlooked for by his relatives and friends. Uncle Jo, as he was familiarly called, lived a model life - kind, charitable and generous - and the good he did in the world will live long after him and his memory will always retain a place in the hearts of the friends who loved him so well. Funeral services were held at the residence of J.G. McAndrew Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. E.R. Steele of the M.E. Church, South conducting them, after which the remains were taken to Barron cemetery, about five miles southwest of town, for interment. A large concourse of sympathizing friends witnessed the last sad rites.
