Guy Branscum, 77, of Mt. Home died Saturday (Jan 7, 1989) at Central Ozarks Medical Center in Yellville. Mr. Branscum was a retired farmer.
Born Sep 3, 1911, at Big Flat, he was a son of George and Lillie Coyle Branscum. He married the former Carrie Acklin on June 22, 1946, at Mt. Home. Mrs. Branscum survives.
Mr. Branscum was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Assembly of God.
Other survivors include one son, Billy Branscum of Mt. Home; two brothers, Kyle Branscum of Midway and Eudell Branscum of Lakeview; and four sisters, Planzy Chism of Cashmere, WA, Eva Lamb of Mt. Home, Fern Henderson of Norfork and Nadine Wooten of Cashmere, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Visitaion will be from 9AM to 9PM today at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving visitors from 6 to 8PM. Funeral will be at 8PM Tuesday at Old Galatia Church with the Rev. Rex Middleton officiating. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Orvill Walker, Dewey Acklin, Dean Acklin, Doyle Acklin, Rodney McGowen and Jack Cowart.
