There was a short article in the Newark community column of the July 7, 1960, issue of the 'Batesville Weekly Record' telling of her serious illness. That article listed many of her children. Maggie D. Cunningham, 66, of Newark, Arkansas, died at Gray's Hospital in Batesville on Saturday July 16, 1960.
She was born to Zachariah Taylor Davenport and Mary Wainwright Davenport on October 16, 1893. She married William Andrew Cunningham at Norfork on March 15, 1908.
She was a housewife and Methodist.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lloyd Cunningham of Norfork, and Carl Cunningham of Pasadena, Texas; and five daughters, Lois King of Pasadena, Texas, Mable Burt of Houston, Texas, Rena Wood of Kansas City, Missouri, Iva Bolin of Yuma, Arizona and Mildred of Portageville, California.
Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Hershel Cunningham; four sisters, Effie Wood, Ollie Wood, Clara Wood and Lillie Wood; and one brother, Ashely Davenport.
Funeral services were held at the Newark Methodist Chruch with interment in the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork.
