Arthur Lee Carter, 53, 3317 Kishwaukee St., died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony Hospital.
Mr. Carter was born April 10, 1902 , in Arkansas, and came to Rockford five years ago. He married the former Edith Mitts.
Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Glenn Perry, Caruthersville, MO.; Arthurlene, Mattielou, and Donna Sue, and a son, Clayton, all of Rockford.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bryan Funeral home, Walnut Ridge, Ark. Burial will be in Minturn cemetery, Minturn, Ark. Arrangements are being completed in the Sundberg-Chapin funeral home 215 Hall st., where friends may call from 7 to 8:30 o'clock tonight.
