Funeral services for Mrs. Treecia Rose Walker, 52, a former resident of Baxter County, will be held at 2PM today (Thrusday) at the Roller Chapel in Mt. Home.
Mrs. Walker, the wife of Murl Walker, died Monday at her home in Bauxite. The daughter of E.K. Haney and the late Roxie Ann Davis Haney, she was born March 4, 1923 at Norfork. She moved to Turlock, CA, in 1946, and was married to Mr. Walker in Los Angeles June 28, 1951. She was a member of the Rest Land Acres Baptist Church of Bakersfield, CA, Wisteria Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Turlock, White Shrine of Jerusalum of Modesto, CA and Daughters of the Nile of Sacramento, CA. She returned to Arkansas to reside four months ago.
Surviving are her husband, of Bauxite; two daughers, Mrs. Linda Hagens of New Orleans, LA, and Miss Pamela Walker of the home; her father of Benton; four brothers, Lenford Haney of Norfork, T.J. 'Dude' Haney of Kansas City, MO, Leslie Haney of San Jose, CA and Orvill Haney of Spokane, WA; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Moody of Los Angeles and Mrs. Martha Pittson of Bauxite; and one grandchild.
Rev. Troy Melton, a Baptist minister of Flippin, will officiate at today's service. Interment will be in the Burnt School House Cemetery, near Lone Rock, under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home. Eastern Star services will be conducted at the graveside.
Pallbearers will be Ray Martin, Melvin Haney, Lloyd Bolding, Robert Haney, Russelll Rasor and Otis Mabrey. Ed Pinkston will be honorary pallbearer.
