Mrs. Imogene H. Roane, aged 77, died Tuesday at her home on Norfork Star Route. Funeral services were conducted yesterday at 2PM in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery, with Rev Frank Horst of Culp officiating at the graveside rites.
Burial was in the Burnt Cemetery, with Roller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roane was born in Virginia on June 6, 1882. Her parents were the late E.E. Hathaway and Virginia Butts Hathaway.
A member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Boston, MA, Mrs. Roane had been a resident of Baxter County since 1948. She lived in the Lone Rock community south of White River.
Survivors are two daughters, Miss Elizabeth Roane of the home and Mrs. Joe Poteet, Greenville, TX; a son Lawson J. Roane of Memphis TN; a grandson and great grandson.
